I am so excited to be a finalist in the Etsy Design Awards! The Community’s Choice Award is the grand prize of a trip to the Etsy headquarters in New York and a feature in Inside Out magazine. This amazing prize is given to the most popular finalist voted by the community via Facebook.

Just by voting you have the chance to win a $250 Etsy gift card. All you need is a Facbook account, a spare 3 seconds of your time and to click this link here. EASY! You can only vote once, and voting closes 5pm Oct 23.

I am honoured to be one of 58 finalist nominated for the awards, and to visit Etsy HQ would be an amazing opportunity! I have no doubt that the competition will be very tight right up till the last minute, so I NEED YOUR VOTE! Please take a moment to vote, but also to share with friends on Facebook and encourage them to vote for my Fresh Herbs bag (pictured below) too. I would really appreciate it!

Made By People is a fabulous online site which profiles creative people making, living, doing and just being awesome. MBP interview talented designers, artist, film gurus and the like, and I was lucky enough to recently get involved.

Their questions were really fun to answer, and I hope that it provides a bit of an insight into my values and reasons for starting Harvest Haversack. Read the interview here.

And be sure to check out the Made By People website  and Facebook page – it’s a total hub of inspiration.

One year ago I was reading the Etsy blog, and I thought to myself “hey, I want to be a featured shop!”
Etsy feature

I wasn’t exactly sure how to go about it. I worked really hard at making my Etsy shop perfect. The photos were clean, colourful and the styling cohesive. I constantly updated and worked on my product descriptions.

Over the next few months some of my products appeared in the newsletters and on the homepage. Then, I was approached about including my Fresh Herbs bag in the Australian summer look book, and later I was a featured designer in the autumn look book.

Then finally it happened, I was asked to be on the Etsy blog! I was so excited and proud. It took a year, and I still can’t believe I made it happen but the sense of achievement I got was the best feeling. You can read the interview on the blog here.
